David Starkey is an historian, an academic, a commentator, a writer and a presenter of wonderfully insightful programs which make sense of events and situations by framing them in an historical context. He speaks plain English, and he speaks his mind. The Establishment Wokes hate him because his penetrating spotlight reveals their intellectual fragility and highlights their underlying motives. Consequently attempts have been made to “cancel” him. To his eternal credit he has just stood firm and not played their games.
Instead he has asserted his identity and continues to revel in it.
Being “cancelled” relaunched his career!
In this intriguing video he points out the possibility of a ‘pattern’ repeating itself in history. In this case it is the “Reformation of Religion” which 400 years ago heralded a widespread popular revolution in society we are still experiencing, for example in religious skirmishes in Northern Ireland and Scotland, and the current social revolution of, for want of a better word, “wokeness”.
The new quasi-religious reformation is the Woke Reformation. David Starkey’s analysis of it reveals the essence and innate flaws of the current Woke-ing of society and its values. They are the systematic replacement of love and understanding by confrontation and intolerance as the backbone of relations that bind society together – that’s the essence of woke – specifically designed and carefully crafted to pull society apart and break it down.
It is interesting to hear his analysis of the situation then – 4 centuries ago – and now. Then the technology that ‘spread the word’ was low cost printing. A significant reason Martin Luther’s reformation of religion caught on in Eastern Germany was the invention of the printing press by Gutenburg – the pamphlets it produced were the Twitter of the time.
The nightmare for the Establishment was that (now ridiculous) religious ideas were criticised in the language of the people rather than Latin, the private language of the religious ruling class. It only took 4 years to revolutionise the prevailing culture across Europe. An amazing feat without messaging, phones, radio or TV! Even so it still took the Catholic Church 400 years until the 1960’s to use English for church services rather than Latin here in the UK!! Change can be slow when power is being ceded…
The language and logic of Woke, for example ‘intersectionalism’ and assertions like ‘trans biological men are women’ etc, is the Woke’s religion’s equivalent of Latin – only the high priests can define its current meaning and use it ‘authentically’. We peasants are there to be ‘woked’ and expected to conform deafly, dumbly and blindly. In fact most of us in the UK are deemed unworthy of any valid opinions or credibility whatsoever. I am cursed, doomed and rendered powerless by my birthright of being an alleged “a white privileged male”, alas my opinions are deemed by definition warranted as worthless in Wokedom. I am simply guilty by existing, it’s like a rerun of the Poll Tax!!
Sadly Wokedom is inherently racist (anti-white) from top to bottom.

The next time I read a blog, Hopefully it doesnt fail me just as much as this one. I mean, Yes, it was my choice to read through, but I actually thought you would have something useful to say. All I hear is a bunch of moaning about something that you could fix if you werent too busy searching for attention.
