Nature has been around since the Universe was born. We have quite accurate historical measurements of many physical values on Earth such as temperature, gas concentrations, sea level etc – recovered from deep cores drilled from the ground. This data gives insight into when, where and how the climate has changed over the past tens of thousands of years on Earth. It also provides a physical reference to check the accuracy of climate modelling over time.
This part of the blog comments on the ever changing climate and the competing theories and real data measurements ‘backing them up’.
